ASHFORD Athletic Club, who are marking 45 years as one of Kent’s premier clubs, stage their annual meeting at the Julie Rose Stadium in Kennington on April 12.
The meeting starts at 7.30am.
Candy Hawkins showed her good winter progress with an excellent 216th place out of nearly 550 runners in the National Cross County championships at Roundhay near Leeds.
Candy clocked a fine 36:16 over the steep and muddy 8km senior women’s course. It came despite having a cold and was her first trip to the testing Leeds course.
She is off to Romania in April for the 9th European Deaf Cross Country Championships.
Warren Uden was 175th with 42:34 in the junior men’s race while Isobel Dickinson was 89th with 34:10 in the junior women.
In the U17 race Pat Duncan was 282nd with 25:49
