Membership
Ashford Athletic Club provides training and competition for athletes from the age of 11 through to Veterans. Our membership runs for a full year from April 1st to March 31st.
All athletes are required to pay a Yearly subscription and then a small training fee on the nights that they train.
You would normally join the club as a first claim member, training and competing in League Teams and Championships. This means that Ashford is either your only club, or your main club, and we are responsible for passing on your UK Athletics Affiliation fee.
You may wish to join as a second claim member, if your main club is a distance away or maybe they do not do all of the events that you require. In this instance you cannot compete in championships for us and as such we are not responsible for passing on your UK Athletics affiliation fee.

*Juniors not eligible to compete do not pay affiliation fee. Those not initially wishing to compete but then decide to do so, will have to pay England Athletics affiliation fee.

Induction Evening
All Athletes initially need to come to an Induction evening which we hold on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm.
This meeting lasts approximately half an hour and enables athletes and the club to find out a little more about each other allowing for a smooth transition into the correct training group for your needs.

Julie Rose Academy
The Ashford A.C Julie Rose Academy runs on a Wednesday night 5.30 – 6.45 and Friday nights 5.30 – 6.45. It is run by Jacqi Snare Level 3 Athletic coach. It works alongside Ashford Athletic Club in promoting athletics for up and coming talented athletes in school years 5/6. It currently has 75 members, with youngsters of all mixed abilities, throwing, jumping running. The idea behind the Academy is to prepare youngsters as a feeder into Ashford Athletic club.
In its first year of competition 2008, the Academy was unbeaten throughout Kent in all indoor sportshall competitions, and won the trophy as overall Kent champions. We also had 12 of our youngsters picked to represent Kent in the southern inter-counties sports hall competition with Kent also winning overall. The Academy is an enrolled course and can be booked only through the Julie Rose Stadium. Ashford Athletic Club membership fee for the Julie Rose Academy is £25.
