Membership Fees are due on 1st January for this year, and membership will run until 31st December 2017.
When the club membership subscription is paid each First Claim competing member is automatically affiliated to England Athletics and each member will receive a competition licence, or have his or her current license reactivated.
If you are competing early in the season, it is particlularly important to make sure that your membership subscription is fully paid so that we can make sure that you are properly affiliated to England Athletics. England Athletics will not reactivate the licence of any athlete whose membership affiliation is not up to date. This means that if you have not paid your membership subscription, you will not be able to take part in any club activities.
All athletes pay a small training fee on the nights that they train
You would normally join the club as a first claim member, training and competing in League Teams and Championships. This means that Ashford is either your only club, or your main club, and we are responsible for passing on your England Athletics affiliation fee.
You may wish to join as a second claim member, if your main club is a distance away or maybe they do not do all of the events that you require. In this instance you cannot compete in championships for us and as such we are not responsible for passing on your England Athletics affiliation fee.

Please note that the England Athletics affilliation fee has increased to £14.00. Subscriptions for 2017 are as follows - note that a reduction of £5.00 will be granted if your membership subscription is paid before 31st March 2017:
From this year we will be providing a training vest for members. For juniors the cost is £10 and forms part of the overall membership fee. For seniors, the training vest is optional and will cost £12 but we urge all seniors to consider buying one. The vests are being introduced as part of a broader strategy to make the club more professional and cohesive. The vests will help to engender the sense of commitment and team spirit which is very important for any club, but particularly for us as a club which competes in many competitions across 6 leagues. Please note that the vests are supplied at cost, and we do not make any profit from them.
|Membership Type||Subscription||Subscription if paid before 31/03/2017||UK Athletics Affiliation Fee||Training Vest|
|Seniors (17 and over)||£48.00||£43.00||£14.00||£12.00 (optional)|
|Juniors (16 and under)||£43.00||£37.00||£14.00||£10.00|
|Family Senior (17 and over and 2 or more in family)||£43.00||£38.00||£14.00||£12.00 (optional)|
|Family Junior (16 and under and 2 or more in family)||£38.00||£35.00||£14.00||£10.00|
|Full-time students in tertiary education living away from home pay only the England Athletics affiliation fee from the January following their Sept/Oct start at Uni/college||£0.00||£14.00||£12.00 (optional)|
All costs quoted are per person, so the total cost for a senior including affiliation fee would be £48 + £14 = £62 + optional training vest (£12) making a total of £74. If the subscription is paid before 31st March 2016, the total cost would be £69 including the optional training vest, or £57 without the training vest. For a family consisting of 3 juniors, then the total cost including affiliation fees would be £186, or £171 if the subscription is paid before 31st March 2017.
Juniors not eligible to compete do not pay the affiliation fee. Those not initially wishing to compete but then deciding to do so, will have to pay the UK Athletics affiliation fee.
