Kent Sport Workshop

Each year Kent Sport host a running workshop to focus upon skills and drills that will be most useful to any level of running enthusiast. The workshops are hosted by physiotherapist Vicky Annis, and health advisor and Coach Sarah Black.
Vicky Annis works with GB Triathlon team, England Netball and gold medallist hockey players including Susannah Townsend. She also treats many other elite athletes.
Sarah Black specialises in Lower Back Pain, Pilates, Yoga, S&C, Tutoring and Tennis Coaching.
Together they will deliver a workshop which this year will be based upon topics such as;
DAY ONE - WEDNESDAY 30TH AUGUST 1730-1900
Last Minute race/run preparations-
Vicky will be able to provide information on what the elite triathletes do pre-race and Sarah will be able to discuss stress, sleeping, eating and many more areas.
DAY 2 - SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER 1000-1230
Option to do Parkrun prior to the workshop as the location is the starting point of Canterbury’s Parkrun
- Day 2 – Saturday 9th September – Round the table discussions on running whilst having breakfast, running biomechanics refreshment, practical elements based on discussions around the room.
This will be the third Kent Sport running workshop. Parkrun is optional and Sarah and Vicky will be available from 9.30am-10am to answer any individual questions over breakfast. From 10am onwards, there will be a running technique refreshment session, how to get yourself ready to run and also recover from a run, plus practical elements from running conditioning and technique.

Just a reminder to all our athletes. The A2070 Kennington Road outside the stadium will be closed to all traffic coming from Junction 10 as of 20/06/2017 for 11 weeks.
