South London Harriers Informal 10K Race Series 2016‏

Posted: 24th Mar 2016 by Andrea Bennett

We have recieved details of the popular 3 race series of cross country 10K races, which are held annually on the last Thursday of May, June and July. This year the dates are:
26th May
30th June
28th July
As the name suggests these are open and informal races held over the countryside at Farthing Downs and Happy Valley in Coulsdon (near Croydon).
Each race costs £4, or there is the option to enter all 3 for £10. Our clubhouse is located close to 2 stations, Coulsdon Town & Coulsdon South, and has changing and shower facilities and a very reasonably priced bar for post-race refreshment - each runner will be entitled to their first drink at half price.
Although there are no prizes per race, for those runners completing all three races there is the chance to win a prize for the fastest cumulative time, men and women.
The clubhouse is secure and someone will be on site whilst the race is happening.
Etries on the day are accepted at no extra cost and any interested runners should report to the clubhouse no later than 7 p.m. to register / collect numbers etc. before making their way to the start, which is approximately 10 - 15 minutes jog/walk away.
