South of England Cross Country Inter-Counties

Four of the Ashford AC under 13s ran for Kent in the South of England Cross Country Inter-Counties Cross Country Match in Horspath, Oxford on 10th December. The cold and icy conditions made the undulating course even more challenging.

In the under 13 girls, Ava Chappell found herself in a highly competitive race over 3000m to finish 16th, the highest placing runner from Kent.

In the Under 13 boys race Oscar Barker, James Wilcox and Joe Hanton all gained lots of experience of racing over 3000m at a higher level. The individual and team results are still awaited.
